We’re delighted to welcome Abigail Lowe to the Digitonic team! Read on to find out more about Abigail and her role as a Business Analyst…
What attracted you to come and work for Digitonic?
Coming from a large organisation where you only get to see the part of the project that you’re working on, the idea of being involved in the end-to-end delivery of innovative marketing solutions was a huge draw for me. It was clear from my first meeting with the team that this was a company where each member of the team was entrusted and enabled to excel within their role and where the opportunities for training and development were endless.
How would you describe your role as Business Analyst?
The role of a Business Analyst is an interesting one because it changes so much from one company to another. Here at Digitonic it’s about seeing a project through from start to finish, ensuring that the end product matches the requirements agreed with the client and that what we deliver meets every expectation... or exceeds them!
What are the key skills and attributes you need to succeed in your role?
Every successful BA I’ve worked with has one quality in common: organisation. Whether it’s balancing multiple small projects or working on one hugely complex project, being organised is vital to ensure you’re always on top of tasks, continually moving projects forward, and that you always have the information you need at hand. Being able to look at the big picture and break it down into detail, always asking questions, and being able to step into the mind of everyone involved in the project is also really important because your work should lay the foundation for them to build on.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
The team is a huge part of this. Every member of the team is full of energy and enthusiasm and it was clear from the beginning that by empowering the team and trusting them to do their best they are motivated and excited to dive into their work. There’s a great sense of curiosity and it’s incredible to be surrounded by people who are always looking to develop their skills and seeking out training opportunities. It really contributes to a collaborative space where ideas can be born and there is always someone willing to lend an ear.
What is your favourite thing about working at Digitonic?
I really enjoy the variety that my role here allows and the freedom to try new ways of working and improve processes to make us even more efficient. The agile nature of Digitonic means that the team are really open to change which allows us to continually improve and work smarter every day.
